If You Are a Parent
1. Request Support
Complete the form on the Support for Parents page.
2. Review
Autism Compass reviews the information submitted to understand your situation.
3. Arrange a Session
You will receive an email confirming a suitable appointment time based on the availability you indicated in the form.
4. Payment
Payment must be made in advance to confirm the appointment.
5. Support Session
The support session takes place by telephone.
If a Professional Is Referring a Family
1. Submit Referral
Complete the Professional Referral form.
2. Review
Autism Compass reviews the referral information.
3. Arrange Sessions
Autism Compass contacts the parent or carer to arrange suitable session times.
4. Confirm Payment
Payment arrangements are confirmed either by the referring professional service or by the family. Payment must be made in advance to confirm the appointment.
5. Support Sessions
Support sessions are delivered primarily by telephone. Video calls may occasionally be arranged where appropriate.
Ongoing Support
Some families choose to continue with additional sessions for further guidance and support.
Block bookings are also available for families who wish to receive ongoing support, with discounted rates for multiple sessions.
Where appropriate, Autism Compass may also provide a Family Progress Summary. This is a short written summary outlining the guidance discussed, the support provided, and the progress observed during work with the family.
With appropriate consent, this summary may be shared with relevant professionals involved in supporting the family.
